Romy Ravines

Romy R. Ravines is the Head of Research and Modeling Strategies at DeNexus. In this role, she works with DeNexus’ Modeling Chapter Team to utilize probabilistic inference and machine learning (ML) algorithms to develop the world's first self-adaptive cyber risk quantification and management software platform for operational technology (OT) and industrial control systems (ICS). At DeNexus, Romy spearheads research efforts to create cutting-edge quantitative models that can dynamically adapt to changes in the cyber risk landscape. Her team combines advanced statistical techniques with operational technology expertise to build software that provides comprehensive cyber risk analysis and mitigation strategies for industries like energy, manufacturing, and transportation. Romy's innovative work allows organizations to proactively manage cyber threats to critical infrastructure. Previously, Ravines held analytics leadership roles at Avanade, Innova-TSN, and Bayes Forecast Group. She has provided clients with data-driven solutions leveraging AI, ML, BI, econometrics and Bayesian statistics. Ravines has also consulted for the FAO, IDB, Andean Community, and World Bank. An accomplished author and lecturer at universities in Spain and Peru, she holds a bachelor's in Statistics from Universidad Nacional Agraria La Molina, a master's and doctorate in Statistics from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro.
