DeNexus Expands DeRISK™ Platform Capabilities with Version 5.4.12 Release

BOSTON, June 2, 2025 DeNexus, a leader in end-to-end cyber risk management for operational technology (OT) environments within Industrial Enterprises and Critical Infrastructure, today announced a significant upgrade to its DeRISK™ platform with the release of Version 5.4.12. This latest release introduces enhanced modeling capabilities, expanded sector support, improved integration options, and a new way to track and visualize risk over time.

Key Enhancements in DeRISK™ v5.4.12:

Improved Modeling for Transmission & Distribution of Electricity Systems
DeRISK™ now offers advanced modeling of substation-specific inputs and penalties, enabling:

  • More precise calculation of equipment damage and extortion losses per substation
  • Modeling of environmental and regulatory penalties
  • Enhanced simulation of cascading loss events within Transmission & Distribution networks

Support for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)

DeRISK™ adds BESS as a new facility type, joining an existing portfolio that includes:

  • Wind Power
  • Solar Power
  • Combined Heat and Power (CHP)
  • Combined Cycle facilities

Enhanced ISA/IEC 62443 Zones & Security Level Modeling for DeRISK™ for Manufacturing
DeRISK™ deepens its support for ISA/IEC 62443 standards for Manufacturing with segmented OT networks by introducing enhanced attack simulations based on configured zones and security levels

Palo Alto Networks Firewall Integration

The first integration with Palo Alto Networks firewalls allows DeRISK™ to:

  • Identify and filter out unreachable vulnerabilities on assets protected by firewall rules
  • Improve fidelity in OT risk visibility through network-aware threat modeling

New Risk Trends Reporting
The all-new Risk Trends Report enables users to:

  • Compare historical risk quantification and loss analysis across any timeframes (e.g., quarterly, yearly)
  • Identify key drivers of risk (e.g., phishing, remote services, supply chain)
  • Analyze loss contributors (e.g., downtime, human impact, equipment damage)
  • Generate reports at both facility and portfolio levels

DeNexus will showcase these new capabilities at NRECA 2025 Co-op Cyber Tech, taking place June 24–26 in Denver, CO.
