As part of the DICYME project, developed between Rey Juan Carlos University (URJC) and DeNexus, university researchers Javier Sánchez and Clara Contreras attended RootedCON 2024 (March 7-9) and T3chFest 2024 (March 14-15) conferences. These participations are part of the project training and outreach activities. Both events have been a key opportunity to stay up to date with the latest trends in cybersecurity and technology, as well as to share the project's progress with the community.
RootedCON, held in Madrid, is one of the most relevant cybersecurity events in Spain, bringing together international experts in the field. Over three days, URJC researchers attended talks on ethical hacking, forensic analysis, emerging digital threats, and advanced cyber defense strategies. In addition to strengthening their knowledge in applied cybersecurity, they engaged in discussions with industry professionals and fellow researchers, enriching the project's approach.
On the other hand, T3chFest, also held in Madrid, is a benchmark event in innovation and technology, gathering over 1,600 attendees. In this multidisciplinary environment, the team explored the latest advancements in artificial intelligence, software development, and emerging technologies, establishing connections with experts in the field. The interaction with other researchers and professionals has been key to fostering new collaborations and applying cutting-edge technologies within the DICYME project.
